Solar Panels with Cool Roofs Review - UNSW - JAN 2022
The efficiency of solar PV integrated with cool roof coating application depends on different criteria. Roof albedo was mentioned as the most important factor impacting on the efficiency of both cool roofs and PV panels (solar panels).
Every 0.1 increase in albedo creates a reduction in roof surface temperature by 3.1-5.2°C.
A decrease of 1 degree in roof surface temperature increases PV system efficiency by 0.2-0.9%.
